About Lisa Hake
 
I hold a Master of Arts (MA) in Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University, and have been working as a psychotherapist in the Seattle area since 2002.  I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State and a qualified Geriatric Mental Health Specialist.  I am trained and experienced in working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.  I have treated a variety of emotional difficulties, mental illnesses, life transitions, losses, and interpersonal challenges.  Areas of experience include depression and anxiety, grief/loss, and trauma; aging, living with disability and chronic illness, and family members of people coping with these challenges; immigration and cross-cultural issues; LGBTQ individuals and families; and alternative relationships and family structures.

Consultation and Group Presentations
 
I am an experienced presenter and consultant on a variety of topics pertinent to older adults and immigrants in the greater Seattle area.  I'm available to individuals and groups for clinical consultation and group presentations on issues, including mental illness in older adults, coping effectively with the challenges of aging, mental illness and older immigrants, and counseling diverse populations.  Please contact me to discuss what would be most helpful or of interest to you or your group. I am an Older Adult Specialist and a specialist in Russian Mental Health.
